B.A(H) IN JOURNALISM & TOURISM
FOR THE NEW AGE BRAVE STORY TELLERS
The bulk of journalism majors cleave to standard coursework that only teaches one form of communication – whether it be paper journalism, magazine, digital media, or broadcasting. New Shores has recognized the demand for journalists with an overarching knowledge of the subject matters they address. Therefore, we have innovated coursework that educates not only about journalism skills but about common journalistic topics as well.
Our university’s philosophy of subverting the usual into the extraordinary naturally gave birth to this degree program. In these challenging courses, students are taught to think critically and analyze nuanced, interconnected topics in journalism. Our faculty is home to a dedicated group of authors who release books on valuable topics and publish in leading research papers and magazines.
New Shores Global BA in Journalism allows students to step into the bustling 21st century media scene. Upon graduation, students are poised for entry into a career in journalism. This program’s thorough, interactive curriculum guides students as their new writing and investigative skills germinate, cementing classroom learning with practical experience. Special attention is given to the digital media and business skills that position our graduates to satisfy the market’s growing appetite for journalists in a perpetually fluctuating world of media creation and dissemination. New tools, methods, and trends that constantly emerge in this field are covered by our experienced faculty, who bring their on-screen and behind-the-scenes acumen into their lessons to mentor students to emerge as progressive leaders in journalism.
The New Shores Global BA Journalism program readies students for excellence, showing each student an in-depth education that furnishes them with knowledge, skills, practical experience, and opportunities for leadership and distinction.
This is an interdisciplinary program that combines courses in Journalism, History and Tourism through Choice Based Credit System syllabus as prescribed by the affiliated university- Bangalore University.
